It was the shocking day for the world champions italy as they have to settle for the draw against paraguay. paraguay striker alcaraz at 38th minute to take one up lead but in the second half it was De rossi who equalled the score that was the last goal match and italy have to settle with the draw. and they have to win all the remaining matches to keep in the race of retaining title
New zealand vs Slovakia
It was the first match for both the teams but it was slovakia who have scored the first goal of the match by vittek at the 49th minute and it was the goal which everybody thought last goal but in the extra minute at 92nd minute Reid scored a beauty to secure a draw and both the teams have to improve their standards.

Its been the busy week as many great matches are happening in africa and i am giving you few results of the matches that happened last few days.

Japan 1-0 Cameroon

We have seen a surprise result today as japan have beaten cameroon by one goal. it's the first time cameroon have lost opening match in the world cup and it is the first time japan have won the first match in the world cup. the sole goal was scored by japan striker Honda in the first half which is just enough for them to win and now they have a great chance to go to kock-out stage. as far as cameroon is concerned they have to fight hard to get into the next stage.

Netherland 2-0 Denmark

The dark horse netherland have won it easily over denmark in the opening match of the tourament. In the first half the match was evenly balanced as both the team tried to score but in the second half holland scored in the opening minute to get a one goal by Agger and in the final minute of the match kuyt doubled the score and sealed the match for the Netherland.

Germany vs Australia

It was a high scoring match as Germany Made an easy run over australia. they scored two goals each in either half of the match. The key players klose and podoski all came to form from the poor club performance. and the second half goals were scored by muller and cacao. but as far as match was concerned germany had even more easy chances but they have missed many anyhow they are back and back with the splendid form so we have to wait and watch

As the world cup started with a bang the results of few matches are as follows:
England 1-1 USA
One of the most awaited match in the group stage kick started and it was as expected and england scored in the opeoning third minute of the match from their inspirational skipper Gerrard. but after that england missed many chances and USA utilized that chance and scored in the 39th minute by Dempsey and the score was draw and that is the final score as both team couldn't score more.
Argentina 1-0 Nigeria
The maradona team won over the nigerians with one goal from the Heinze at the 6th minute of the match. eventhough messi had his chances but couldn't convert it into the goals as the strong defending from negerian defenders. anyhow what is required is win and they have it and they want to keep the same tempo throughout the tournament
South Korea 2-0 Greece
south korea have won easily over the greece team by two goals and the goals are from the Lee at the 6th minute and their captain Park-ji-sung at 51st minute. park continued his form from manutd to here and he wants the same play from him and his side against Argentina when they face them in the second match in the tournament.
Algeria 0-1 Slovenia
Slovenia have won against Algeria by one goal at he end 78th minute from Koren which is enough to secure the match and the score was the final score
Serbia 0-1 Ghana
After missing Essien ghana were little low but they showed that they have got many players who can match upto standards. 83rd minute goal from the Gyan was enough for the ghana team to win over the Serbia. It was one of the shocking defeat for the serbia as they had one of the finest defeding team in the world but couldn't shoe in that day and they hape to improve in the final few games

France drew with Uruguay

France drew 0-0 with Uruguay

The first day of the match saw another draw followed by host and mexico draw as both the teams couldn't score a goal in the whole match. It was a third consecutive goalless match for france in the opening match of World cups.

Having a good strength in the likes ribery, anelka,evra and Henry all are big players but none of them could play their best as all have missed chances through out the match and couldn't convert chances into the goals. However uruguay had their chances as forlan nearly scored in one attempt but however urugay are happy with the draw and it was France who were wondering how it was a draw..? and the match was full of warnings with six yellow and one red cards

Next France will take on Mexico and Uruguay will play against Host nation..

South Africa 1-1 Mexico

Southafrica drew 1-1 with the mexico team

It was the first day of the tournament and everything went as expected as both teams had their chances and many were missed and overall it was thrilling for the fans.

Mexico started well in the first half and had few chances but couldn't convert them to goals and last five minutes belongs to south africa as they have missed two easy chances.

In the second half hosts maintained their same spirit and it paid off in the 54th minute as Tshabalala scored for the host nation and took lead and they had a chance to make it two but they missed it in the D box. but mexico used their chances well and Marquez scored in the 78th minute and gave 1-1 a score and finally the whole match ended in the draw.

Ballack and Joe Cole will leave Chelsea

Chelsea have confirmed the news that their experienced midfielders Joe Cole and Michael Ballack had their last season and they will leave this summer transfer market.
Both the players contracts will expire end this month and chelsea are in no mood to extend their contract.

Joe cole who is in squad of england in south africa for the world cup is reportedly in links with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham. and Ferguson has keen interest on him and he has been in chelsea for past seven years.

Meanwhile ballack is suffering from an injury and his performance in the last season is not upto the mark and Due to injuries he is not able to be involved in the World cup to make things worse he will be out of chelsea this summer.

After having inpressive season with the Manchester united, nani really wanted to show his skills in the world cup. He got a regular place in the squad after ronaldo left for the real-madrid and nani took full advantage and gave an impressive performance.
However his dreams were shatterd when he suffered an injury to the left clavicle during the training session. the coach has announce that he is out of the world cup and the reports are handed over to the manchester united .

Few days are left for the world cup but there is a little worry for all the fans as many players have had been out in recent weeks due to injury.
1. David Beckham
The former captain of england was all geared up for the worldcup but due to the rupture of Achilles during march ruled him out of the Squad.
2. Rio Ferdinand
The current skipper had his dreams shattered when he had a knee injury at the training session which ruled him out of the world cup.
Both the players Rio and beck will still be with the team to have a moral boost and Capello will utilize their experience.
3. Michael Ballack
Germany will loose their inspirational captain Ballack as he suffered a damage to the right ankle in FA cup which ruled him out of the World cup.
4. Michael Essien
Another Chelsea player out of world cup is Essien. Ghana has lost their power house in january due knee injury which ruled out of the world cup
5. Nani
After having an impressive season with manutd the Portugal winger was out of world cup, as he suffered an injury to the left clavicle which ruled him out of the World.
Apart from this players in the likes of Jose bosingwa of portugal, and Diarra of france were also out of world cup.

But now the biggest worry they are facing now is that many players in the tournament are facing the Injuries and few are already out of the tournament.

Few players like Beckham , Ballack and Essien are out before the Friendly matches then During the Training Rio ferdinand, Nani were also ruled out of the cup.

The players who are injured but still they could make into the Squad are :

Didier Drogba the Ivory coast captain who suffered major injury during training, showing recovery and the coach is having faith in him and told he will be with the squad.

Anjen Robben after having impressive season with Bayern his impressive runs were halted as he suffered a hamstring injury during a friendlies, which could be disaster for Holland if he wouldn't recover in time.

Andrea Pirlo is another player who is suffering from injury, However Italy hopes that he will be in time ready for opening matches.

Julio Cesar is suffering from an injury however he has been recovering from the injury and it is a good news for the Brazil as they want their cup back this time.
