Liverpool lost their match on their way to the fourth in the table which will cost them more than anything for their Champions League selection.
On the monday match against Wigan athletic liverpool a win is a must to secure fourth place ,but it dint happen as Liverpool lost the match 1-0 to Wigan athletic .
Eventhough Liverpool has many chances but couldn't convert into the goals as Torres missed a volley. The wigan striker Hugo Rodallega's sole goal secure the match for them and to take the three points comfortabily.
