The Reds have beaten Aston Villa 2-1 to clinch the Carling Cup-2010.

At the wimbley stadium the final carling cup match was scheduled betwen manchester united and aston villa with a capacity crowd of 88,500. As the match started , Milner scored an early goal for the villa at 5th minute to 1-0 after that michael owen equalled the score 1-1 on the 13th minute. match was going smooth untill that time when the owen was replaced by the great Rooney to score the goal from header to secure the match for the reds and eventually the Carling cup.
